Double the Love

One lap
Two children
with daily school meals

The 24 Hours of Le Mans is the world's hardest endurance race, a thousand decisions made at up to 340 km/h, lap after lap after lap. In 2025, Ferdinand lined up at Le Mans with Mary's Meals for the first time, with the goal of funding daily school meals for one child with every lap he drove.

Thanks to the support of numerous donors, his “Race for Meals” campaign at Le Mans 2025 made it possible to provide daily school meals for a whole year to a total of 1,760 children in Malawi. Now it goes into the second round:

Under the motto “Double the Love”, Ferdinand has set himself his next goal for 2026: with every lap he drives, he aims to secure daily meals for at least two children for an entire school year.

About Ferdinand

Ferdinand Habsburg (*1997) is an Austrian professional racing driver and winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2021. Alongside his successful career in international endurance racing, he serves as a youth ambassador for Mary's Meals, supporting children in the world's poorest regions. In 2025 he travelled to Malawi and visited schools where children receive daily school meals through his Race for Meals campaign at Le Mans 2025.

“I sat in a classroom with four-year-olds, where we ate together on the floor, and I saw my nephew in their eyes as they played. I couldn't think of anything other than the fact that it costs me just 22 euros to give this little, playful boy a meal in this place for an entire school year!”, Ferdinand recalls. You too can sponsor one or more laps driven at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2026 now and help give even more children access to a daily school meal, and with it a better future.
