Anna has taken on something special: She wants to ride her bike to provide school meals for children in the world’s poorest countries.
In the Year of Hope, she will be cycling in May from Lower Austria (area of Maria Taferl) 1200 km to Rome!
With her fundraising campaign for Mary’s Meals, she wants to provide the 295 pupils at Mwalawoyera Primary School in Neno, Malawi, with daily meals at school for a year. Feeding a child for a year costs €22. A total of €6,490 is needed for this.
For most of the children, the school meals provided by Mary’s Meals are the only food they eat each day. They enable them to attend school and gain an education. Today, food and education are seen as the key to escaping the spiral of poverty and hunger in later life.
With your donation to Mary’s Meals with the purpose “bikingforhope”, you can help Anna to achieve this goal. You are also welcome to accompany or cycle/hike yourself to feed children together!
Thank you very much!
The pupils of Mwalawoyera Primary School are happy about daily school meals
